School Of Hong Kong
The International Montessori School (IMS) is an international school established in 2002. Through its Montessori curriculum in a dual-language setting, it serves students in Hong Kong.
However, the school is facing a decline in student enrollment due to the dropping birth rate. As a result, parents now have greater influence in the application process. The school aims to provide more information to attract 'high-quality' parents.
BOC Pay is a payment app developed by the Bank of China (Hong Kong). The marketing department hopes to promote it by introducing a lucky draw feature within the main Bank of China app. Users can participate in the lucky draw by completing missions.
Due to a lack of human resources, the marketing team hopes that an agency can collaborate with the Bank of China’s development department to create the lucky draw feature without posing any risks or causing damage to the bank's security system.

My Role
As the only designer, I work closely with marketing team and external vender to get the revamp project done. I start the project with revamp the branding, building guideline, interview the parents and teachers and set up new sitemap and SEO setting in half year.
As the project designer, I served as a bridge between the developers and the marketing team at the Bank of China. I worked closely with our agency developers to explore solutions that could smoothly address the concerns of both departments. With the cooperation of our agency developers, I presented our findings and design direction, aiming to satisfy both sides. Throughout the project, I represented our agency, presenting our ideas and acting as a 'buffer' to facilitate collaboration.
Project Pain Points

Complicated site structure
The original website contains over 150 pages of information with many duplicated or outdated contents. Through the revamp project, IMS can delete, update, or integrate information into fewer pages, reducing the overall page count and easing user navigation.
Outdated application process

Outdated application process
The application process requires parents to submit forms during Hong Kong's daytime, with only phone, email, or mail options available. There is no form on the website, making the process slow and prone to errors due to IMS's mailbox issues.

Non Mobile Responsive
The original site design is not mobile or tablet-friendly, despite over 70% of users accessing the site via mobile. This negatively impacts user experience and the school's first impression.

Redesign pages by adding a calendar feature for users to easily schedule appointments or view available dates, along with an online application form for streamlined submissions. Additionally, we’ve incorporated an auto-respawn feature, ensuring that the page reloads automatically if the application process encounters any interruptions or errors, enhancing the overall user experience and reducing frustration.
Responsive Design
The three break-even points are using to ensure that the user experience remains consistent across different devices. By optimizing the design at these key breakpoints, we guarantee that the layout adapts smoothly, offering a seamless experience regardless of the device being used.
